THE INDEPENDENT ARTIST: Artist friends, now is your time to shine!

If 2020 taught us anything, it's that autonomy in your career choice is a priceless and extremely valuable privilege. During the long days of lockdown (which still looms over my beautiful and resilient city, Melbourne) I spent all my time in the studio painting bright and happy works of art for my collectors who wanted to bring some joy and vibrancy in their home. I was, and still am, extremely grateful that I was able to work during this time and that the demand for 'home improvements' from collectors sky-rocketed as people spent more time at home.

So why am I telling you this? My goal is to motivate you, my dear fellow artist, to do what you have always dreamed of and take the plunge into a fruitful, independent career. The right time is always now. If your heart yearns for change, it's time to take the appropriate action steps. Here's how to get started....

A great first step is to sign up to my online course for aspiring artists where I share my 20+ years of experience and all of my secrets from painting to branding, right through to establishing a reliable supplier network. I also discuss gallery representation as well as exclusive online sales and share valuable, 'tried-and-tested' advice on the most successful marketing tools for artists. You can learn more about this course (which you can access and complete at any time) online. Click to learn more.

Whilst my course goes into a detailed step by step approach, I want to highlight how important it is to continuously take action steps. Whether it's budgeting for your art materials, setting up a website, allocating more time to paint or create, increasing your social media presence... you are the creator of your own destiny. Be active, stay motivated and affirm daily;

I am an ARTIST
I make REAL ART
I am worthy of SUCCESS
My art SELLS
I am ABUNDANT
This is MY TIME TO SHINE

Finally, I am here to support you - championing you on from the sidelines! There is room for us all. If you have any questions feel free to get in touch. I wish you all the best in your journey and beyond. Now let's get started! xx KJ
